Gradually adding some ounces to my deuter Speedlite 20 alpine, and some furlongs to my walk. And practicing wildlife-photography with all that on my back, of course.

I was rather surprised to see this very lonely Sandpiper in Crow Creek. Just stood there, while the geese, curlews and others anxiously looked on from far. Later she told me her foot was stuck in the mud! I know the feeling...

Алсу Ильдаровна Buiting, our friendly teacher, knows that I love birds and she lent me these cards with Baikal Birds. Some of them very exotic, but others also "available" in my neighbourhood! So I hàve to show them here, and who could be better to start with than the famous writer: Gogol ("the Revisor").
We call them Brilduiker, Goldeneye, Schellente. 
The author we call Gogol... ;)
