I can't tell you anything about the artist Е. А. Жилин, but the building is Maria Volkonskaya's house. Well - "then" it was very picturesque, and now it's very impressive, and a beautiful museum!

Walking on ice

I just saw that we still haven't posted "real" Baikal-pictures.

Дама в вечернем туалете

Tijdens onze tocht over het ijs van het Baikalmeer sliepen we wel op het land. De toilet was echter buitenshuis. Op zich geen probleem, maar bij 30 graden onder nul moet je je wel voorbereiden voordat je naar het toilet gaat!
