холодный фотоаппарат (2)

Bright sun, wind from Russia and -8°; the right weather to test the 1955 Смена.
"Stalin's Volkswagen" as she was called: a good, simple camera for the people. I like her very much, she is beautiful and has possibilities.
The counter works like the Argus brick, better, in fact, the shutter is more Lubitel-like.
But: the (too tiny) diaphragm is inoperable in the freezing cold, alas.

(Ha - as if I ever touch a diaphragm! I take every picture 1/50 at F8, Смена, Фед, or Hasselblad...)

    1. I still have a "working" darkroom with all facilities, but scanning the negatives and then store them on USBsticks is much cheaper...
      BTW You will be more at home, I think, on my http://analoog60.blogspot.com/ (sorry I cannot link that)

  2. sometimes I miss the darkroom, now I'm working more in Lightroom ))

    1. I worked decades in my darkrooms - the smell of fixing-salt, seeing the picture developing; it was a real craft.
